Thread Starter | Plug-in equivalent to Yamaha SPX "symphonic" preset?
anyone know a good plug-in equivalent to the yamaha spx series "symphonic" preset? i'd like to use it on electric bass for stereo widening. thanks! travis

I have gotten close with "Soundtoys Pitchblender" and "Echo Farm". Mind you there is not just a preset with these.....you have to tweak a while, especially with Pitchblender. I like the how you can simulate the lo-fi'ish tone of the SPX-90 with pitchblender's filters. Obviously not the same, but has the spirit of that setting. Same thing with the Dim-D. I get close, but not quite the same.

I never found anything better. I'm still using my 2 old SPX 90's for the symphonic effect every day, but you might wanna try the Roland (UAD) Dimension D.
