I have gotten close with "Soundtoys Pitchblender" and "Echo Farm". Mind you there is not just a preset with these.....you have to tweak a while, especially with Pitchblender. I like the how you can simulate the lo-fi'ish tone of the SPX-90 with pitchblender's filters. Obviously not the same, but has the spirit of that setting. Same thing with the Dim-D. I get close, but not quite the same.

I never found anything better. I'm still using my 2 old SPX 90's for the symphonic effect every day, but you might wanna try the Roland (UAD) Dimension D.

Seems like for the price of a plugin, you could snatch up a used SPX90!!

Then you'd have access to all those great reverbs!!

Just kidding. The "Symphonic" patch is the bomb, and so is that "C DeTune" or whatever...I don't remember the name because I just keep my SPX90 permanently set there!!
