Thread Starter | Sebatron VMP-4000e Ps Hum??
Just got my VMP-4000e today. We got a great deal on a used unit. I wanted to buy a nice, shiny, new one, but our budget is soooooo tight right now. An initial test with a Shure SM7 had me -literally- giddy. We also summed a mix through channels 1 and 2 with the -25db pad engaged. It really, and I mean REALLY, "glued" the mix together. It wasn't subtle either. Me like UPDATE: Our N72s are sold and we purchased a Daking Mic Pre IV. The Sebatron did NOT induce any hum in to the Dakings so, we're all good now! |

I have sebatron 4000e underneath a SCA rack with 2 N72's and 2 A12's. No hum to speak of.... I have heard of people putting aluminium foil inbetween rack gear before to stop noise spreading......don't know if it works..... |
