It could be a bad fan. Just to make sure plug in your old one and see if it works, to make sure the connection isn't bad. If it works, and the replacement doesn't get in contact with verax support. They're pretty good/nice.

remove ribbon cable back of CD Rom! Thanks again to all, including Monad. The guy was real nice about sending a replacement. My issue right now is, the M11 kit came; it requires that i remove, among other things, the CD Rom drive. My problem is that i cannot for the life of me get this wide, ribbon type cable to unplug from the back of the CD Rom drive. I could work around that for the M10, but for the M11 i think i've gotta get that thing out of there. I'm sure there is a technique for disconnecting this cable, i just don't know it! Pulling on it isn't working. Look forward to reply. Thank you!

There is no technique. And it can be a bitch to disconnect. Just don't pull by the wires, grab the plastic. I remember cutting my hand when yanking it ![]()

| Why is the Verifax so expensive? It's like $350 for the full kit. I just bought the silencer for my HD24XR and it was about $8. For that much, I could look at an isolation box that will not be thrown out when I upgrade.

M11 mod for Samsung power supply ¿ ! Greetings all, My M10 fans are working well. My question now is... apparently my G4 is in this percentage that have a samsung power supply. That makes it more difficult apparently, to install the M11. I included directions below; sorry they're so long. Don't read them if you don't want to. I'm just trying to figure out... can i do this? Is there anyone reading this who has done it? Apparently i have to get an insulating sleeve as described, which i can do, but I don't understand what they mean by "the sensor head has to be dismantled". Apparently i have to actually take apart the temp sensing part of the fan... ? Thanks so much to anyone with a word of advice. DIRECTIONS: Conversion Power Supply G4 Manufaturer Samsung PSCF4016001B(C)RevA Only recommended conditionally due to the extra costs and time involved! Insulating sleeve not included in M11! doc. 9998030908A 1. The fan bracket can only be fastened to one fan via 2 screws or rubber elements (green arrow). The layout of the screw holes is not identical with the Acbel-power supply, which is used almost exclusively. Omitting two screws is uncritical. 2. The temperature sensors should best be fastened to the perforated plate with a cable tie (green arrow). The sensor cables should be insolated additionally in the area where they could come in contact with the transformer or the heatsink. Suitable, for example are shrinkdown plastic tubing (yellow arrow pointing to yellow tubing in picture) silicon tubing, or PVC tubing with a length of 19-20cm and an inner diameter of 6-8mm. In order to slide the extra insulation over the cables, the sensor head has to be dismanteled. The two NTC sensors (small grey elements) have to be removed from the socket. The leads have to be pulled out of the socket carefully by pushing down lightly on the locking mechanism in the socket openings. The lead pairs should be marked in order not to reverse them. In case of reversal the fan will not operate! The extra lead pairs should be shortended with a cable tie as shown by the red arrow in the picture. 3. The fan lead is connected to the socket marked by the red arrow. When closing the the case, the newly insultated sensor lead should be positioned as shown by the green line. Using the long screw in the place marked by a blue arrow in pic.1 is not possible. The power supply can now be installed. Bild 1 Bild 2 Bild 3
