I have two Alesis power amps. They sound good, are fan-less, and look nice.
But do yourself a favor, and do NOT buy one.
Both of my amps have problems with the right channel cutting out (or plain not working) while using the balanced inputs.
If you don't care about using balanced inputs, then Alesis will work fine.
People recommend Hafler quite often.

I use used Adcom GFA 535, 545 and 555 power amps. They have beaten $5k amps easily and can be had for a song. No fans, dead quiet, never fail.
