it's nice to dream...fuuck

It would be very nice to see a BIG powerbook update on the 15th...

a G5 or dual-core G4 with a 4-500 FSB and optical i/o....

Apple needs to stop putting the crap analog i/o on the 15" and 17" and add OPTICAL I/O !!!!!!!!!

I'd sure like to see the picture, but it won't load.

Maybe it eVAPORated already

Actually, it looks like a project from Art Center in Pasadena.

Wonder where the "brain" is gonna go.

Fascinating design, but that's a lot of moving parts.

I wouldn't even bet a warm english pint on it being the official thing - it's so complicated, can you imagine the number of returns or product recalls when toddlers (or 'Mac users') get their fingers caught in the hingey bits...

Most Brits can't assemble a deckchair.

That looks a bit more complicated.

looks like something sony would design, not apple. apple has always been sleek, sexy, and simple.

Well, they're trying to dissapate the heat from the G5 chip, which isn't easy. That's why this design was even considered I'm sure. Looks totally stupid. If this is the best they can do, I wouldn't hold my breath for the G5 Powerbooks. It's just not practical at this time to put a chip that hot in a notebook.
