drum modules

hey all..

can someone recommend a "softsynth" drum module comparable to something like the alessis dm5 ...where it has some kits plus you can program your own...and it has different sounds on everynote of the keyboard....in there kits.. or you can progam yourself....hope you understand my question :-)

The best one in my opinion is Battery 2.0, its gonna do everything you asked plus a whole lot more, building kits is a sinch, and come with some nice ones also, envelopes filters, the whole bit.

I'm not sure if it would be suitable for the way you work, but you should consider Reason.

There are lots of Refills about and I picked one up recently that had sampled ALL of the sounds from the DM5. Very useful, you simply load them into a ReDrum module in Reason and you're away.
It obviously also gives you a lot more than just a drum module...

The other two that spring to mind are FXpansion's BFD (very good) and NI's Battery (never used it).

thanks so much for the response !!!

i do have have reason....i'm guessing battery is more the drum module i'm looking for....unless i'm wrong ..with redrum there's a limit to the amount of "voices/sounds..you can have on a givin kit....am i right ?....i want something that you can have a different sound on all of the keys on the keyboard....

with reason you can buy additional refills, i ve bought a few and now use reason for all of my programed drums
