Project Duplication Setup: Where to get info?

Thanks for all the feedback here, there and everywhere.

Now I'm on to something else.

Are there any forums out there that focus more on CD duplication?

Things like the automated duplicators, printable media choices, jewel case stuff, small job shrink wrap setups, graphics programs for printing on jewel case inserts, and all the rest pertaining to having a small run duplication cabability?

Did a few Googles and searched this site but didn't see anything.

Thanks again,

Woods

QUESTION: Is anybody using the hand held jewel case shrink wrap systems. A heat strip seals the wrapper and then a small heat gun shrinks it?

That is what I want to hear about -- how does it work and how does the final product look?

On the other issue about inkjet quality on disks Yeah I hear you. I've been looking at some samples sent to me by Primera Technologies. About the Bravo II disk publisher. They sent me some samples. Yes it prints in inkjet. I was disappointed by this and told them so. They sent me some additional samples of the same thing but with a thin laminated surface that they have. They look pretty good. Also, After Christmas there is a new printable media coming out that has a surface that when hit with the ink will interact with the ink and sorrounds the many ink jet dots and seals over them resulting in a glossy serface.

I haven't used these for shrinkwrapping jewel cases, but at one point, my folks had a picture frame shop and used it for protecting prints. It works fine (and looks great), once youget the hand of cutting the wrapper to the right size.

No link. Only beacuase I have not googled about it personally. The story came direct during personal phone call I had from VP marketing of Primera. It's not Primera though. Apparently if it lives up to initial mkting hype it could deem the Primera laminator obsolete (probably too strong a comment).

Now I need some feedback on my home jewel shrink wrap project. What do ya know?
