| I really like Chris Walla. The sound of the last couple death cab albums are great. What he did on the Teagan and Sara album "the con" was awesome. Justin |

| Nigel Godrich. +1 @BLUElightCory : good call on Matt Goldman, also dig his work... the Copeland records are beautifully done. been inspired by Greg Wells, Marshall Altman, and John Fields, too.

| Gear addict | Ben Grosse is always one of my favorites. Just redescoverd Fuel's "Something Like Human" and Alter Bridge's "One Day Remains." The Fuel album is one of my favorite mixes of all time. Jason Elgin is a local guy but is starting to get some major work. Past work has included engineering "Heavy" by Collective Soul and he recently finished a band called Lynam's new cd which Mike Shipley did a mix one. He's getting a lot of work with Mono vs. Stereo and is now doing a Roadrunner band. You should check out some of his stuff. Very punchy and colorful. I like the stuff TLA has done with Angels and Airwaves. His big drum sounds and use of delay is refreshing. Christopher Stevens. Mixed Sanctus Real's "We Need Each Other." I just really like the mix. Matt Goldman. Anything he touches is gold to me. So organic. Matt Malpass. He does some work with Goldman and it's a little similar. He gets some good raw sounds. If I think of any more, i'll post. |

| Gillian Welch's albums are beautifuly recorded. Especially Time The Revelator. Perhaps the best simple acoustic sound I've ever heard. And I ALWAYS prefer the old stuff! |
