DIY Speaker Cables: use 'speaker' cable or 'mic/line'?

I need to run cables from my mixer to the monitors
and the layout
is like this:

-TRS out of mixer to TS, RCA, or XLR monitors

Mixer's output is unbalanced and the monitors have
unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR and TRS.
After doing some net searching i've noticed that there
are bulk 'speaker cables' as well as 'mic/line cables' so does it matter which i use? I mean, up till now i've been using regular TRS monster cables which were sold as line cables so i was wondering.......

thx.

I am assuming from your description that you are using active monitors.

Use balanced line cable tie cold/ring to ground/sleeve. Or make 1/4 TS cable on one end and RCA on other end.

Speaker cable would be unbalanced and the wrong impedence which is meant to feed passive speakers from an amp.

so, just to understand, active monitors like dynaudio bm5a needs a mic/line balanced cable, while ns10 and auratone needs speaker cable?

thanks
