is this sort of sale common in the US? i ask because in the uk the 10% off everything was the beginning of the end for sound control and turnkey.

10% on everything means they have put up all the prices 10% before doing the promotion.

You can see this at the UAD store very well.
They send you an promotion code with 20$ but the prices went up 20$ before the day you recievd the promotional code.

This is marketing .... and in Germany we say Bauernfängerei.

I don't think there is an item at Sweetwater that I can't find on any day somewhere else for 10% less than what they are asking. Sweetwater is way overpriced.

Everything is on sale somewhere. You just have to do your homework.

I'll give you an example: Most online music stores wanted 799.00 for this:

I took 3 years of German in college. The part about being expected to make up your own words completely threw me off. My take on it was that German grammar is so complex, it's just easier to make a noun out of whatever you want to say and forget about it!
