Question 2 quick ProTools 6.9 questions

can someone chime in - who has PT 6.9 HD-TDM (i only have PT 7.4, so i cannot check.)

- is there the "redefine timecode" command (to change the current Timeline timecode to match a different TC timeline) there?

i think it is under the setup window - maybe.....

- and - in PT 6.9 - can you edit video (trim the top) right in the PT session? I know this is possible in PT7.4

thanks!!

"redefine timecode" .... yes it does

but i havent used 6.xx in a long time. So double check that. I also think the DV toolkit 2 (for LE) has it also.

Show Session Setup Window.

In the top right, there is a spot labelled 'session start' that has a time-code location. Change that to your desired start time and you'll get a pop-up asking if you want to maintain your relative position to the session start. Sounds like you would want to do this. Other option is to set your group to 'all' and use spot to place the start of your regions to a specific time code location.

for what i need to do - the "redefine timecode" really will be the best thing...

can anyone tell me if it is in PT 6.9?

and - can I trim the top of the video within ProTools 6.9?

bonus question - can I have multiple movie files in PT 6.9?

thanks
