Can Gtars Phase Between L and R ?

Hey guys,
On a track can 2 separate guitars each panned hard L and R be heard phasing?

no, except the problem with my brain which can only start processing one side before the other when listening to a scrambled mix

Sometimes you can hear that effect if your mix is in mono... as you can with a very well done double-tracked vox that are almost identical but not stereo unless you have a really short delay panned from one guitar to the other side.

But anyway it will be very rare/minimal if you're doing 2 separate takes.

Yes - if the sound is similar, and the playing is very tight. Maybe chorusing is a better description, since 2 different performances are going to vary, and thus the phasing artifacts vary.

The more different the sound is on each side, the less phasing you're going to get.
