| Importance of the Slave Clock's Quality. Hello all, I was wondering; we do talk often about the obvious importance of a high quality master clock for a system. I was wondering how important then the qualitly of the clock slaving to it would be...? i.e. I am thinking of having a M-Audio 2626IO with Focusrite Liquid4Pre as masterclock and providing the 1st 4 pre's in the system via ADAT (word clock via the usual BNC connection). Now, the L4P has a really good clock, my worry here is that if the slave clock is not of a good standard I may be at less of an advantage then if it was of a better quality... Hope that makes sense! Maybe its just all about the master clock and i'm worrying over nothing. thanks, jim |
