| Pin 3 Hot? Just bought a used BSS Audio DPR 402. I noticed that pin 3 is hot, and was curious to know what is the recommended way to interface it with our balanced patchbay? Would it be best to rewire the DPR 402 pin 2 hot at the unit or use an adapted cable? Thanks |

| Gear interested | If possible, you could open it and switch the 2&3 internally...if not, you can do it at the patchbay, just make sure you note that somewhere, in case you use those lines for something else someday. |

| Do it at the XLR's on the inputs and outputs to the device, not at the patchbay. David Brown |

| I don't think you really need to worry about it. Yes, your signal's polarity will be reversed when it goes into the unit, but it will be reversed when it comes out as well. At that point the polarity will be the same as when it went in.

| Just don't mix balanced and unbalanced in/out to the thing and you'll be fine. -tINY |

| No! Just make some 6 inch pigtails and keep em plugged into that box. While you're at it, make a second set for when this happens again someday. |
