Clocking with HEDD

Does the Hedd have a decent clock in it?
I have 3 choices. The clock in the board (Sony DMX-R100), Clock in the MX-2424 and the clock in the Hedd.
I was thinking of running the Hedd into the 2424 and using the "through" conector to pass clock onto the DMX-R100.
Which would you use to clock the 3 pieces of gear?
Again, I wonder how good the clock in the Hedd really is.

Yes, it does.

I'm not familiar with your other pieces, so try clocking them all from the HEDD and then the each of the others and see what sounds best.

I'm clocking a MOTU 2408mkII off a HEDD and it makes those sound better.

Well I'm not hearing a huge difference when clocking with the Hedd instead of the DMX or the MX. At least not what I expected after reading other posts about using the Big Ben and the Aardsync. Maybe I need to try one of those.

If the Sony and MX clocks are up to snuff, you probably won't hear a huge difference with the HEDD's clock. I'd be surprised if the Sony didn't have a clock that was close to the same league.

I have some Yamaha stuff that sounds better clocked to the HEDD. It helps with the bottom and top. Its not a night and day difference, but still discernable.

The impact is most noticable during tracking.

Good luck with it!

The hedd was night and day with my d8b and PT as compared to the apogee clock in the board.
