What do you reference with? Share your favourite reference albums and tracks.

Here are some of my faves:

Alan Parsons Project - Ammonia Avenue (piano, orchestral and stereo field)
Dire Straits - Sultans Of Swing (acoustic/clean guitar and stereo field)
Dream Theater - Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence (drums, guitar and bass)
Extreme - III Sides To Every Story (vocals, drums, guitar and orchestral)
Robyn - Show Me Love/Do You Know What It Takes (pop bottom and vocals)
Boyz II Men - II (vocal harmonies)
NSync - Bye Bye Bye/It's Gonna Be Me (pop vocals)
Leila K - Come On Now! (maximum bottom)

I'm not implying that these are the ultimate in any field, but they are the ones I know inside and out and find myself using the most.

I could add that I used to use Yello's Baby as a reference but got so totally bored with it musically that I just could not stand it anymore, but you mileage may indeed vary

"Jaded" is in my references folder on my drive. As well as songs from both Jellyfish records, "Go Faster" by Black Crows, a few TLA's, a couple of Clearmountains, of course some Wallaces, several Shipleys, even some Valentines.

sorry if I left anyone out. no hard feelings.
