Great 1RU power amp??

I haven't posted here for some time because I'm no longer in business, but I have a question:

I'm looking for a replacement for a Crown D-75 power amp: requirements are substantially more power, wide load range, high quality, 1RU and preferably variable gain control.

Suggestions?

Powersoft has been recommended to me, I've never used them. LOTS of power, very light weight, 1 RU.

There are plenty of 1u amps out there - Ashly, ART, Crown, etc., but the only amps I know of that would provide substantially more power are the Stewart amps. Their World amps have been pretty popular, and I see that they have a 'reference series' as well.

Yeah they're here, not sure of the distribution/dealer setup. These are mainly SR amps, but supposedly very robust and far more reliable than typical Peavey/Stewart/etc. Check with George's Pro Sound in Syracuse, he uses them. Or maybe post over on alt.audio.pro.live-sound.
