| Apogee Ensemble - Additional preamps question Hello, been reading the forums for some time, but finally felt the need to consult the experts concerning something I am not quite sure of. Putting together a small studio for the first time and considering running an Ensemble into a Mac Pro. We can see situations in which we will need additional inputs + preamps so we are considering running something like an Onyx 800r into the Ensemble via ADAT. In situations like this, we will most likely be recording all the tracks on the Ensemble (4 pre-amps + 4 line in) and the 8 channels on the Onyx simultaneously (total of 16 tracks). I'm worried about timing/latency issues between the Ensemble and Onyx and just wondering if anyone is doing anything like this already or thinks this would work OK. Thanks. |
