Lynx Aurora 16 w/ LT-HD better sound?

Hi, can anyone tell me if using the Aurora 16 with LT-HD and HD 2 core System get better sound than Aurora 16 w/ AES16 and Samplitude?
i'm owner of Aurora 16 and AES16 but i would like to tray HD system with the Lt-HD.

No it wont sound better. Sonically the conversion will be the same. Your preference of one working method over the other may influence the quality of the final result.

My personal opinion is that the more judicious you can be with your plug in use in ANY DAW, the better. I'm not a physicist or a programmer and I can't support that technically. It's just what I've found....as a general rule 96k tracking with as few plug ins as possible seems to be really working for me. It's not always possible with certain styles of music of course.

I heard the Digi192 HD and really i prefer the Digi 192 than my Aurora, because i'm looking a little colored sound for the regional music that i work, Aurora is nice uncolored sound maybe better conversion than Digi 192 but i'm thinking to move to Digi HD. What you Think?

Personally I would stick with the Aurora and add your colour another way. A converter is not a good place to look for colour.

Have you tried the thermionic culture vulture? It's basically a valve box that lets you add anything from just a shimmer of valveyness to full on distortion. I use it on everything from vocals to mixes and it adds a lot of colour.

Or choose some slightly more charachterful microphones.

An eq, a compressor or two etc

That's where I'd look for that stuff...not in the converter.

If you do decide to change, the most coloured sounding converter is the apogee. That seems to have more of a rich low end...it's more 'excited' for want of a better word. This is not always a good thing, but for things like rock and pop it serves very well. I still stand by my above advice though.

I dont think Thermionic have a demo on their site. I think you need to get a demo model over to you if you're considering it. It's a particular kind of thing, and you'll need to see what you think. I personally would not part with mine.
