| Ezplayer pro problem in cubase SX3 I'm new to the forum, so before I begin.....hi!! I am hoping some kind person can help me out with this problem. I have just bought Ezplayer Pro as I wanted a piece of software that would allow me to trigger midi loops and fills from a midi controller. However, when I have the "sync" option on in Ezplayer pro the triggers sample a little slow. There is a slight delay that renders it unplayable. I got this sorted by turning "sync" off in Ezplayer. Now when I trigger the loops/fills I get an immediate response and it is perfect....or so I thought!! :( Now when I have everything set and I record enable the track in SX3, as soon as I start recording and press the trigger on the midi controller there is about a bar and a half delay before there is midi activity. Obviously this renders the whole thing useless. When I turn "sync" back on it resorts back to the slight delay, and when "sync" is off and I am not recording in Cubase it works perfectly. The problem occurs as soon as I go to record. This is exactly how I have it set up: 1) load a loop and a fill to two separate tracks in Ezplayer pro. 2) "Learn to play" these 2 tracks to a midi controller keyboard 3) Turn sync off and you should hear the loop/fill triggered immediately. 4) Set up Cubase SX3...... (midi track 1 ~ IN ~ Ezplayer ~ OUT ~ LM7 (or whatever drum software) (midi track 2 ~ IN ~ Delta AP midi ~ OUT ~ Ezplayer) When the midi controller trigger is pressed when monitoring you can see midi activity flash in midi 2 and midi 1 starts playing immediately. Perfect. When the midi controller trigger is pressed when Midi track 1 is set to record you can see midi activity flash in midi 2 but there is a delay in seeing the midi activity in midi track 1. I tried changing "time stamp" but to no avail and I don't think it is latency related as mine is at about 2ms, basically I can't think of anything else to try. I am hoping/presuming I need to change something in Cubase for it to work properly as there are no more options to change in Ezplayer pro. Apologies for appearing and asking such a long winded question straight away. But this is doing my head in completely!! When I turned off "sync" in Ezplayer pro and everything was so immediate I thought that was me sorted. But then I tried to record..... Cheers for anyone that is able to help |
