Keeley mod DS-1 or Fulltone OCD???

I've got a ds1 that I could get modded for 75 bucks at Keeley. I would pay 149 for a fulltone ocd unless I can find one used.

Any opinions on dollar to sound ratio?

Is it worth it to pick up a keeley ds1-ultra and keep my ds-1?

Does the fulltone kick the keeley ds-1's butt or vice/versa or is it too different of an animal to compare.

Do you like cucumbers better pickled?

(my pedals are the above mentioned ds-1, a stock metalzone and a silver big muff pi.)

My cabs are a 4 X 12 jcm800 with g12-65's, a 1 X 10 marshall with a vintage g-10, and a 2 X 12 avatar with g12-30's in it.

I have a epiphone valve jr stock head and the 40w fender hotrod deluxe with 1 stock 12 inch speaker.

Thanks.

i really like fulltone pedals and the OCD is great.

But Im going to throw a spanner in the works here and say go get "stress fx" to make you a red llama clone.

Alternatively try mi-audios range.

boss mods are a little over rated in my books.

I have an OCD, and I did the DS1 mods on the Premier Guitar site that are based on Keeley. They're different. Get both. Overdrive versus distortion. I use the OCD way more, though, into a custom Marshall 18W with Plexi front end (Trinity SIII).

Hi yall,

I have heard the OCD through a 15 watt WEM combo which was hardly "on" - it was a folk gig, say no more!

When my friend stomped on the OCD, I honestly thought I was listening to a raging Marshall or AC30.

Incredible overdrive tone. The gain goes way past trad OD levels eg TS or Fulldrive.

I understand the new Vox Satchurator is based on Satch's Keeley modded DS1

Def check it out!

I found a lot of videos for both on youtube. I'm leaning towards both.

Not to bash Mr Keeley's work, but most of his mods are no more than 5-10$ of parts. I rather getting in touch to a geek friend and have him do them for you, Will be much cheaper

Good to know

I'm not in N.Y. though. I just never bothered to change the default..actually I don't know how it ended up saying I was from NYC.
