Pick a name for my studio

Hi for everybody:
I'm building a project studio in my country Argentina, with a partner. We decide put first our bucks in the acoustic of the rooms, so we will start with minimum gear . The study will be a facilitie of 98m2 for recording and 42m2 of offices and lounge, plus a park and garage for parking...
I'm very excited in meet this forum with professional and established studio owners, enginners, musicians and audio entusiaths...
Well, I'll very pleasant in know your opinions about the gear that I'll buy, share your experience will be welcome...
At the moment we got a problem with my partner about the name for this facility...
Accord your experience, can somebody give us some tips or recommendations about this?
Greetings...
Marcelo

GuruGuru studios? You could probably make a cool logo out of that too.

Otherwise, what's unique about your place? Think about it from that perspective and I'm sure something will pop up.

What's the problem with your partner - you can't agree?

so obviously the name is important, and what is unique is important... but what is REMARKABLE about your studio.

what is worthy of someone else making a remark about?

everyone legit on here will tell you that word of mouth is the best way to attract new clients, but there are ways to allow word of mouth to flow more freely.

being able to explain to a prospective client why they should tell their friend about this new REMARKABLE studio is so important.

i highly suggest buying a copy of guerilla marketing. well worth the 15 bucks.

.

so guerilla marketing's helped you to make your millions?

not to be a jerk, but i think success has more to do with WHO you ARE ,
and WHO you KNOW, (especially in the business of FREE product),

as opposed to subscribing to formulas in these widely sold recipes books
(which, no doubt, can bring EXCELLENT revenue for the authors)...

yes, its working. and there are reasons that these types of authors make tons off of this type of product.

i completely agree that who you are, and to an extent who you know are very important. these two things have a lot to do with studio name.

likewise, studio name has to do with a marketing plan, which i find... especially with smaller studios (i think this might be the case here..) is often overlooked.

i feel like there is an irony to refering to marketing specialists as "recipe books". they are selling a story and an emotional response in the same way that a neve portico is.

neve- classic and smooth
emotional response- i will sound like a classic engineer if i use this.

Studios are traditionally named after the building or the street they are on.

If it is in a shed, call it the shed. There used to be an old cow byre where we built our studio, so we called it The Byre. If it is in a barn, call it the barn and if it is in a garage, call it that.

Guerilla Marketing is a fantastic resource. It's not so much a how to book. It is, however, a guide to help change your thinking. Great suggestion.

I'd call it Tango Nuevo.

Well, the name of the street it's Cuzco and this is one names that choice my partner (maybe your favourite)...But I' am not convinced (I live a big part of my life in this street and sounds common for me)...But it's interesting your comment about the character of the building...

PD: I look through the website your beautiful studio...It's a paradise!!!!

I agree about the develop of a marketing plan and we are working in this, but with the limitations of our knowledge.
We are advised by different technicians and specialists from our country, but we are interested in having a broader perspective knowing trends in different countries of the world, where the market for musical production is much more developed...
Maybe we need to consult a pro-marketing team to consult, someone has had any experience with him? who can tell me about it?

I like read books!!! I bought a couple of this in Amazon... And there's always something new to learn..All the book's recommendations are welcome...

we agree absolutely all items, gear, design, strategy ... but with the names that we selected so far, we fail to agree on ...

I like GuruGuru Studios. Except you have to pronounce it "GuduGudu", really fast.

Is there a particular genre of music you hope to specialize in recording? This could make a big difference?

I like the Street name idea, though... it also helps tell people where you are right in the name.
