I like the Street name idea, though... it also helps tell people where you are right in the name.
But if you ever decide to move you're screwed. How about Dreamland Studios? (no real reason, but it popped into my head.)

Rock & reggae bands (there are a lot in our district), Argentina's popular music (melodic, folk and tango)...we want the name be professional and accepted for all kind of musicians, as far as possible. The street calls Cuzco (like's the peruvian place)...

¡De diez, loco!

Why don't you call it: "Che, loco, boló, sós un tarado, en que mundo vivés? Studio"
lol

Sorry, it's just that I have a few Argentine friends, and I hear that sentence very often (in many different versions), always accompained of frantic hand gesturing.

Call it "HermanosBoludos Studio".
My apologies for clowning around, it's just that I really like porteño slangs.
I'm actually getting pretty good with the accent myself, I'll be in Bs As next month to try it out.

Seriously now:
How does "La Milonga" sound to you? EDIT: I just now realised that you'll be doing mostly rock/reggae, and I guess this name would fit fine if it was more tango/popular oriented. But may still sound cool... Saludos desde Brasil

You need something that's appropriate for Argentina. How about The Alpaca You Came In On Studios?

Just use your name ...sounds and looks better than the made-up ones. Has a professional vibe about it as well.

What if his partner's name is Hermenegildo or something like that?

I'd rather record at "Cliche's Studio than at "Marcelo & Hermenegildo's Studio".

What about "La Fabrica"?

Should be: "Mano de Dios Studio" :)

Damn, I wasn't old enough to remeber '86, but that made us brazilians hate Maradona more than ever.

the trouble is that just before the 'hand of god' goal, he did just happen to score the greatest goal in world cup history ( and I'm English ).
I like the studio name though.

Very pro and can still sound functionally hip when truncated.

"I recorded voiceover for the documentary film at GSS."

"My psych band is recording an album at Guru Sound."

"Marcello and Co. over at Guru are a pleasure to work with."

after years of debate I finally, just the other day named my studio.

"Jeff's Giant Cock -Recording Studios"

there is a big rooster walking around the premise from time to time. I'm going to make a logo of a rooster in front of a microphone.

I know this doesn't answer the question of the original poster but I tried to come up with a name for a long time.
I'm excited to finally have one.
Good luck

-Jeff

When I was 16 I recorded my first CD at a Ground Swell Studio. It was my first experience with recording at all.
