Thread Starter | Gates Broadcast Tube limiters re-visited
Howdy - From sheer lack of time and a steady increase of despair, I'll have to ask: 1. What is the pinout on the Gates MO2639 (Broadcast Tube Limiter)? And second 2. What's the typical value of R47 in the SA-39B? ("Value to be determined by tube current" - SA39B Instruction book) I'm looking for both resistance and tolerance, as well as any other useful information that could turn this unit into the supposed functional state it was sold as. In this one, the resistor was missing, with a large burnmark in its place. Also, the 5v4, 6L6 and fuse was dead. Thanks in advance -

.. and as we do have little time, I just put a 4k7 5W in there and fired it up. The fuse (F1, 3 amp) blew again, immediately. (Someone previously had put a 15 amps fuse there - also blown, of course.) Anyone sitting with a readable schematic or service manual that would care to share it? |
