HD24 files ... dump to PT Le

The client and the former studio have fallen out, all he got was his hard drive and I don't own the HD24.

I need to transfer his Alesis HD24 files to PT Le.

Any ideas on a rental?

Or will someone one do this for a fee?

Simplest thing I can think of would be to buy an HD24 Fireport to translate the files from the proprietary Alesis file format and transfer them to your DAW as either .wav or .aiff files (in one step).

About $199.99. Think your client could foot that?

Alternatively you can use the ethernet port on the back I believe and transfer to your comp via FTP...this is much slower but I think its a free solution.
I dont have an HD24 but Ive read a ton up on them and this appears to be a useful suggestion

Yeah -- that would work *if* he actually had an HD24, and from his post it would seem he doesn't.

I think the questions is, without an HD24 how to get the data (which is in a proprietary format) off of his client's harddrive?

Minus an actual HD24, the Fireport is the only solution I can think of.

Yes - I concur. Buy, use, sell on eBay.

Looks like I totally blew todays test on reading comprehension.
