looking for a good mixing engineer

My band has spent an inordinate amount of time tracking our latest album. We are looking for a good engineer to mix it - I tracked the thing, but I have lost all perspective. We want to give it to somebody who will not rely on us to tell him what to do. I mixed the last one and was terribly unhappy because it became a complete mix of compromise - between the wants and desires of each member of the band. I would love to find someone who can listen to the raw tracks and just knows what to do with them - otherwise, we'll end up with the same thing - the guitar players want to hear only guitars, the bass player wants to only hear the bass, the vocalist wants ALL vocals doubled, etc. It just becomes a nightmare and the mixes suffer badly...IMO.

Preferably, we would like someone who is into the project and wants to make it sound good for his own portfolio or possibly some name recognition (in other words - not a lot of $). 4 songs were finished early and mastered really quick - they are in regular rotation on some alternative radio in Texas and the band is getting some quick attention from labels (major and ind.) If anyone knows of a good mixer with good label connections and who is willing to work for little $ on a quality project, please send them our way.

You can hear some of the rough mixes at www.deepella.com. On the intro splash page, click on the song titles in the center of the page. The tunes to listen to would be: tonight, wait for you, abandon ship. Thanks for looking.
