e604's for guitar cab?

any one tried it? Any good results? I have been trying and trying to use one on guitar cab, but in every pre-production shootout, it gets killed by every other mic...just curious

The little clip on one's for toms?

Never thought about it..........but my guess is that it would sound weak and flimsey........

I use 604's all the time on Guitar Cabs, I have got some very good results with them.
I have been using a 604 and a 57 on cabinets for a little while now, and i have been really happy with the sounds i have been getting.

Obviously this is all totally subjective but I've been pretty happy with the 604's on gtr cabs and combo's. Personaly, I haven't picked a 57 over a 604 in a long time as a "single mic for the job" dirt-gtr setup...

Me too, in the quasi XY (van Halen) setup.

yeah, I mean the e604 NOT the e609 (which know sounds great alot of the time IMO) I've been using it as my top snare mic and it does it's job well there. Obviously great on toms, except for big Floor Toms (d112 there). I 'm enjoying your responses, I knew that had to be doing good for somebody....Just not me, yet.

I've used 'em a few times.

Never my first choice with other things around but they don't suck. I hear something that resembles a guitar they don't offend...

What's the issue?

All you need to make a record is a mic, some tape and maybe some bad reverb...
