The sends box works along with the Dangerous mixer and allows you to use your outboard effects that you would normally use as send effects on a console with the channels on the mixer. It's a very cool box and as far as we're aware, it will be available to the public sometime in the near future. I do not have any information with regards to pricing just yet.

I've contacted German Dangerous office (two years ago) about this tool.
Their response was that "Dangerous SENDS" is custom made (on request) and in their pricelist, back then, it was around 1500-1600 euros.

Here is the email I received from Dangerous Music on 25 September 2006:

"Hi

Sends is available directly from us as a special order for $1400. It
only works in conjunction with Mixer. Do you already own a Dangerous
Mixer? If so it needs to be equipped with the Direct Out/Sends option.

Cheers -

Bob"

I'm still not sure why the sends couldn't be used as a stand-a-lone unit.

Also, does anybody know if the Dangerous units are linkable, because if you have a Dangerous Mixer + Sends, you'd definately need an expander for the returns, whether its in the form of another Mixer or 2-Bus etc.

This is the one I got, on January 11th, 2006:

"The Sends Unit is custom made and takes about 4-6weeks.
There are 4 Sends per 8 Channels and 4 Master Send Controls.
External Powersupply."

No sign of "It only works in conjunction with Mixer"...
I think that there is no reason NOT to work as a stand-a-lone...

Other than the manufacturer says it doesn't? Obviously it wouldn't be in their best interest to say that if it's not the case...

It connects via an optional 25-pin "to sends" connector on the mixer...who knows if it may use some odd pinout, voltage, or something like that?
