| Michael Jackson doing a Vegas gig? Michael Jackson: The Next Elvis? By Ethan Smith , WSJ.com 2008-06-12 19:00:00 Dow Jones & Company, Inc. A private-equity group is hoping to do for Michael Jackson something a long parade of music-industry veterans, lawyers and billionaire friends have failed to accomplish: Revive the pop star's dormant career after a 2005 child-molestation trial and a financial meltdown. Colony Capital, which owns the Las Vegas Hilton and is a major shareholder in closely held Station Casinos, is in discussions with Mr. Jackson to get him back onstage and in the spotlight via a long-term stand in Las Vegas. It also wants the singer to sell his Neverland Ranch, the home of his private amusement park and menagerie and site of his controversial sleepovers with young children. Quote:

| I'll be out in Las Vegas all next week doing a show and since we are hiring twelve union hands I am sure I'll hear ALL of the "inside" stuff regarding this. We are also using a large LV lighting company, so there might be some info floating around. I knew well before most people that Elton John was taking over at the Collesium at Ceasar's on the nights that Celine Dione's show was dark. This is the first year that our client HAS NOT been at a Station Casinos property which might have shed more light on the subject. I'll see what the local "underground" scuttle-butt sez... It is a BIG place with a small community of people working. I'll report back next week on this... IF I hear anything.
