Very intersting. TDM/Audiosuite plugin support. 20 sends per track, beat detection,ADC...etc. Digi better drop a bomb.

Pro Tools has 64 sends per track, Beat Detective, ADC & TDM/AudioSuite support already.

What I wanna know is if it has I/O Inserts. Any beta testers know?

Pro Tools has always had 5 I/O insert points per track.. the amount of I/O is dependent upon your hardware.

If you have something like an 002.. you have up to 18 I/O (if you have the correct hardware)

If you are asking whether DP 4.5 will delay compensate for outboard gear and/or allow you to pull up your Distressor or whatever as an insert effect on a channel the answer to both is no.

Additionally we have information that the compensation is DP 4.5 is PDC only (covers plugs on audio tracks as well as DSP cards like the Powercore and UAD-1). It does not compensate for aux/busses/etc.

Keep watching for Nuendo 3. From what I understand it will do it all (basically ProTools-like ADC on the native side).

Hope that helps.

Oops, sorry, I should have made my post clear. I was talking about DP4.5 and hoping that it had I/O Inserts just like PT does.

:)
