DAC-1 with RME interface

I feel silly asking this, but I am getting a RME multiface and I want to use the DAC-1 with it. I want to use the spdif out of the Multiface to the DAC-1, but the DAC-1 doesn't accept a 1/8" spdif. Besides using a converter to get spdif into optical or coaxial is there a special cable or am I just making this difficult for myself?

Thanks!

It's not a silly question at all. I'm looking at a picture of a Multiface right now and it has S/PDIF i/o on RCA connectors, which the DAC1 accepts. It looks as though you can also do optical S/PDIF, which the DAC1 can also handle. I am attaching the picture I found on RME sight of the back of the Multiface. Is this what your unit looks like? Thanks.

Well I just talked to David an yes I was making this hard on myself. Turns out Benchmark supplies you with an adapter to get from 1/8" spdif to BNC in case you didn't already know that. I hope this helps someone besides myself for future reference.

Just thought I would step in and clarify something. The DAC1 ships with a BNC to RCA connector. The “coax” input on the back of the DAC1 is a BNC style S/PDIF input, and with the supplied adaptor you will be able to plug in your RCA style S/PDIF output of your Multiface with no problems. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
