Expression College Studio 2

I'm currently enrolled at Expression College in the Sound Arts program. The school just built a new studio (for the first time in a few years) and it contains some pretty awesome gear. I'm sure a large majority of this board has worked/currently works on a lot of this gear, but I figured I'd post it for the people who don't have the pleasure of seeing this gear (and because I know there's a lot of people on here who enjoy some good gearporn).

So check it out: BenVersluis.com » Blog Archive » Expression Studio 2

Thanks for the pix. My band has done some tracking in the "Hendrix" Neve studio at Expression. Also the big SSL 9k room. It's really a treat to be able to track through great gear to 2" tape for free. We're lucky around here. It's nice to see Expression is still building out new studios too. They must be doing well.

Yeah, Expression seems to be doing very well. They apparently dropped ~$400k on the new studio (gear and construction).

The 9K is personally my favorite tracking room since it has the largest live room. I'm also a fan of the Heptagon area: the Control|24 is sort of "meh" worthy, but the live room again is great.

I think all bands feel fortunate to be able to track on large format analog consoles to tape, but sometimes the end product is less than awesome.

But if you've had positive experiences, then hopefully you'll keep going back because without bands like yours people like me wouldn't have had a chance at recording!
