Budget"colored"2-buss compressor

Hi all! Im looking for a good low budget compressor to use on a 2-buss drum sample mix. I like the samples in a 2-bus mix, instead of individual outs. The drums seems to sound"fuller" to my ears this way.Once i get the mix up it sounds okay, not like real drums but decent.I tried using the RNC,it sounds good but a little "thin".Just wondering if anyone else uses this steup that could impart some advice, recommend a compressor, etc. Thanks to all that respond!

I have used the JoeMeek C2 stereo opto compressor for exactly this purpose. Worked pretty well to fatten up the drums in a parallel buss scheme.

Now that I have a Fatso, I don't use it as much.

Maybe check out ART Pro Vla.Yeah it's ART but sounds pretty decent.
It has flavor...whether you will like it or not who knows.
Can be found for $200-300
