panning stereo reverbs

1. is there a way that i can convert a stereo reverb plugin to make it a mono reverb?
2. how can i make the reverb to where i can pan the left and the right signal of the stereo reverb to different positions instead of just always having the reverb in full stereo and taking too much space in the mix. I use sonnox reverb by the way?

Return it on a mono send? Just use one side?

I don't know which system you are on but in mine when you add an effect you have a choice of making it stereo or mono..
As far as being able to pan and treat each side sperately I usually use two instances of the same reverb, both in mono and treat them accordingly. This is great for having slightly different rev times and eq on each side which really adds to width and depth of the verb.
