KRK Rockit Line

Hi,

Does anyone have any experiance with the KRK Rockit line? I just heard the RP-5 yesterday and was really impressed with the sound, esp. at the extremely low price. I A/B'd it with the KRK V8 and actually prefered the sound of the RP-5 better, although it did not handle punchy lows (slap bass, and hard kick drums) very well.

I'm looking at a RP-6, i can get a pretty good price on them coz my friend works at the shop.

Any advice? I don't have a really nice room, so I don't want to splurge on REALLY nice monitors just yet, will do that in the future when I can get more mileage out of the monitors and the room.

For the record, I'm currently using a pair of JBL L-20's (hi-fi speakers) driven by a Rotel RA-931 amp. Running Logic Pro with a really old G4 tower.

Thanks!

Eugene

I heard the RP-5 and RP-8's at the shop a few weeks ago, they didn't have the 6 on display. The 8's were nice but I hated the sound of the RP-5's. Then I heard the new V6's, and those did it for me. I'm buying a pair tomorrow.
