Question Subwoofer

Hi,
I need to get a subwoofer and do not really know which would match up best. I currently mix using only Mackie HR824's and NS-10M's.
What subwoffer would match up best with one of these speaker systems?
Budget is low $1300 tops.

I agree with maks questioning the need for a sub with the 824's but if you want/need one and your budget is around $1300, why not the mackie 12" sub?

The advantage of a sub is flexibility of placement. The sweetest spot in the room for the mids and highs is not necessarily the same for the bass. Even if your room is not linear as far as bass goes, you can find the best spot where you are hearing all the frequencies from 30-200 or so. Doing that will you get you a much more accurate reading than endlessly treating your room IMO which is pretty limited in its effectiveness for bass, even with ethan winer's bass traps (dont even bother with the sonex foam crap).
