WHat's better for MY voice

first off, im usin a E-mu 1212m soundcard, Presonus mp20 Pre amp, and AT4040 mic just to let u guys know

i got kind of a high pitch/harsch/Energetic/aggressive voice

im realizin that its my mic (at4040-i jus found out its more for mid/low voices) thats causin my voice to not sound so good...(soundin harsh and what not)
because i record other voices (mids /lows) and it sounds fine...

so if u guys had to choose 1 mic for MY VOICE...which mic would u choose?

around $600 or lower

here's a example of my voice that u can go by (high/harsh/energetic/aggressive)
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/5/rewindmusic.htm

ps... ive asked this question to someone b4 and they gave me like 5 choices (ADK TL, ADK TC, MXL V77, CAD VSM, AT 3060)...but i need you guys to give me 1 mic that you guys would use on me for my price range

Did you already try an EQ? The quality doesn't sound bad, but the nasally forments are accentuated. Pull an octave's worth of 3-5k out by about 4-8dB. You could warm up the bottom a little to with 2 octaves' bossted about 3dB at around 250Hz

Or go buy a mic without a presence peak, like a 414 B-ULS

On the flip side, rather then asking us you could find a store or studio that has a bunch of mics and try them yourself...

All you need to make a record is a mic, some tape and maybe some bad reverb...

Take a weekend and head up to Hollyweird.....

Or spend a few bucks and set-up an hour session at a studio. They'll have mics.

Just curious, where are you recording these vocals? If you don't have a decent room or a vocal booth, it could be the acoustics that you don't like.

Why didn't you post a lossless encoded example of what you don't like?

I would buy an RE20 or SM7... Cheap and very good for what you are trying to do. They are dynamics, so they will work better in a room without proper isolation than a condenser.

I may on occasion talk about some of the products I am a dealer for in my posts.. and that's OK! I sell them because I like them. Not vice versa. It's more fun to talk about things you know and love, then things you don't.
