Cheap pink noise generator?

I often run pink noise form the DAW into guitar amps for finding the sweet spot and phase multiple mics. I run it out of the DAW, through the tie lines, into a re-amp and then into the amp which takes a couple of minutes to set up. It would take a couple of seconds with a portbale version and would be useful for other things I'm sure.

I'm after a cheap pink noise generator, guitar pedal sort of size that runs off a battery, 1/4" jack out.

Anyone know of one?

I've seen kits but they won't run from a single 9v battery but would require 8 AAA or something which would make the whole thing a little bulkier. I'm struggling for time at the moment too so an off the shelf version would save me some hassle.

If these kits works at 12V at 95% they should works well at 9V too. Could you post the links of the kits ?

EDIT: Velleman's pink noise generator K4301 works at 8V (after the voltage regulator 78L08) so it's possible to use a 9V battery leaving D3 on site (polarity reversing protection) and omitting VR1 (a jumper between IN and OUT).

iPod.... I'm still mainly on LP's! I did think a portable CD player might do the trick if I can't find anything else. An mp3 player would be even better, I just wasn't thinking modern enough.

The kit I was looking at was here,

Rapid Electronics - Pink noise generator
