Looks almost laptop like with faders and encoders.

I really hope this is cool, affordable and working. Seems there are issues with the Euphonix devices, big or small.

I like the SmartAV console, chair mode is cool etc. I hope they have removed the silkscreened frequencies from the EQ knobs on this... hardly the best way to integrate with many diff. EQ plugs.

Fingers crossed...

Found a slightly better picture...

Large TFT, assignable encoders and the usual fader surface by the looks of it. Doesn't look cheap!

This company has the tackiest design aesthetic I have ever seen! To go from what I think are the Pontiac Aztecs of audio industrial design with their over the top tasteless controllers to this proposed under whelming pedestrian control surface. is atleast a testimonial to their success of running the gamut from horrible to lackluster! Well I guess if you raise any flag sooner or later someone is going to salute it!

peace.

Doesn't the SmartAV have a MC or HUI mode?

Before you criticise it, maybe you should do some research as to why it looks the way it does. Find out why Stav (the designer) did things the way he did and then if you still think it sucks, fine. If you were working all day hunched over a console you would most likely buy him a beer for the time he put into making an operator's life a bit easier.

Better to be informed before you go shooting your mouth off.

I've only heard about people using their consoles with Logic... but I'm still interested, not least because the name

Is your opinion concerning my opinion only an opinion or are you just shooting your mouth off?

No, it's based on your previous statement, which is the reason I quoted it. I would haver thought that was obvious, but clearly not.

Again, go and find out why Stav designed the console the way he did and if you still think it's rubbish, fine.

I really, really do like what I see here!

This is what I wanted the Euphonix Artist Series to be (if the price is way below the MC Pro though).

Now I'm waiting for features and price...

What a silly little video... just put some pricing and a feature set up and be done with it....

Seems like a waste of marketing budget to me but then I'm a bastard.

It may be cool, wonder how everything maps out onto that TFT.

Paraphrasing from a German beta-tester I found on another forum:

Tango connects direct to the audio engines and has been tested with Nuendo and Logic.

The TFT is 22" and a touchscreen and allows for even fat fingered persons to control easily.

Typical 8 faders with solo and mute, plus switchable AFL, PFL and SIP if software supports. Also facility to control input gain as found in Nuendo mixer.

Inject mode allows any channel to brought up onto the controller.

At the top of the TFT there is an ARC like display that allows users to swipe to bring channels up onto the controller, just like the large SmartAV surfaces... this is called MonARC.

It appears to have chair mode. Once the surface selects channels, all track parameters are instantly displayed on the TFT for editing.

I believe the hold function is there, so you can lock channels onto the surface, dead useful while using swipe mode on the ARC.

It seems the TFT displays all built-in Nuendo features like channel EQ and DYN, sends plus Inserts and enables quick on/off switching as well as detailed graphical editing. The buttons/encoders for these are located on the side of the TFT.

I'm sure it contains standard transport controls...

Channels can all be edited and also named apparently via a softscreen virtual QWERTY keyboard...

That would be very cool if true as you might be able to ditch a keyboard and use the Tango and a mouse...

Thats about all I could make out...

Sounds very nice!
I'm afraid it will be very expensive. The world's still waiting for something between 1K (Mackie Control) and 13K (WK Audio)

And the plot thickens... can this be THE controller...

free from issues and priced right... somehow I'm sceptical.

£4k is a lot of dough... I think £3k is a good price point.

Maybe they meant 12" ?

22" would easily fit 16 faders underneath
