Dumping from tape to digital...need advice.

I just got done tracking to 2-inch and need to bounce to PT. What's the best way to do it?

We can rent an HD rig with converters, but we're considering using my 002r. Is it possible to use a good 8-channel converter like a Rosetta 800 with my 002 and bypass the digi converters?

Thanks.

Depending on the sample rate you choose. Yes.

You can use the optical (ADAT) out of the rosetta into the ADAT in of the 002.

You can use one cable (8 channels of digital audio) if the sample rate is 44.1 or 48 k... you would need 2 ADAT ins on the 002 to utilize 8 channels of 88.2 or 96 k digital i/o.

The limiting factor is the one (1) Adat in on the 002.
