Thread Starter | Locking my JH24 with Logic
I have an MCI Jh24 and I want to be able to sync it up to logic. I want to do drums bass and guitar and whatever else I can fit on tape. Then dump it into my daw and go from there. There problem is I have only 16 ins on my aurora 16. I can't afford another 8 channels of lynx. I do have an Emagic unitor 8 mkII that has smpte. "The Unitor-8's connectivity includes eight MIDI inputs and outputs, SMPTE inputs and outputs in the form of 1/4" Longitudinal Time Code (LTC) and S-Video Vertical Interlace Time Code (VITC) connections." Will this help me in any way? I want my tape machine to be the master that way if the smpte fluctuated on tape it will on my daw (unless I am completely off base here) I figure I dump. 16 tracks down and then another 6 later without having to erase over the old stuff. Thanks!
