Need an SPL meter, what should I look for?

I only want to spend around $50. It'll be for calibrating my room measurement software but I'm also curious how loud things get in my room (how loud is a cranked up 100 watt amp directly in front of the speaker, or a rimshot, how loud can i sing/yell?).

Any advice on what to look for or is this the kind of thing where you can't really go wrong no matter what you get?

Radio Shack sells them. I have an old analog meter on mine, but the newer ones have a digital meter. For more info, goto.....
