Pearlman TM-2 or sm7b? Vocal sample inside

I got bored at work today and started reading about the Pearlman tm-2. I read that it has alot presents in the mids (among everythingelse), much to my recollection like an sm7b. My voice is midrangey so i figured i ask if anyone thinks id suit either mic?

I have attached a vocal sample. THe first little freestyle is through the nevish channel of my jlm baby animal, and the second is through the apiish channel.

Signal chain is: At3035(neutralish)>JLM BA> MMP2 (everything bypassed but the compressor)

I dont mind how u answer, weather its in the poll an explanation or both. Im happy with all, I just hope i get some help.

are they just 2 different to compare?

okay... how would these 2 different mics each suite, or not suite my voice. Could someone give me an explanation of their how their characteristics would work with my voice?

Or am i just not seeing this how everyone else is?

The SM7 works fine on your voice, don't sweat it. Really, with any mic, you just have to bring it in to your studio and see whether it's going to work for your particular situation and what you want to throw at it, so there's no way that anyone can really answer this for you. Sometimes the peaks and curves of a particular mic line up beautifully with a particular voice, sometimes an otherwise fine mic might line up horribly. Go ahead with the SM7 till you find something you think is better, but it's plenty good enough to make great music with.

Cheers.
