protools delay compensation and LTC

It's an old question, but I want to bring it up again.
I know this sounds crazy, but I'm mixing a film score that I have to use 6 Ptools rigs to play back. (1000 tracks). I had to add delay compensation to my synthmaster machine and my main orchestra machine. I didn't add it to the other 4 machines because there were no plugins. Everything went out of sync.
I guess it's obvious now that the timecode doesn't move with the delay comp.
Doesn't that seem wrong?

The LTC is at the transport and therefore pre-delay. You can
possibly fix this by using time adjusters on the master faders of
the undelayed sessions .. but..

This sounds more like a session management / work-flow problem than a
delay compensation one.

Is one reel's worth 1000 tracks or ?? The most I've ever seen was
in Twister .. and that was divided down into sub-sessions ... foley,
dialog, soundtrack. I couldn't keep 1000 tracks managed if i tried.
