Dumping TLM103 for Peluso 251 or Pearlman TM-2

Hey guys---So i think im going to dump my Tlm103 and get into a new mic. I just can't decide which one. So I think im down to the Peluso 22 251 or the Pearlman TM-2.

I do mostly hard rock and indie rock. I will be using it for drum room, acoustic gtrs, and maybe vocals.

I used a Elam 251 once and almost cried because it sounded so amazing.

I also own a Pearlman TM1 and love it. So what do you guys say?????

Was also looking at the Neumann TLM49 but I think deep down inside that was just to have the Neumann name for the clients. YOu guys understand.

Anymore thoughts??? I did a lot of research and have really never seen a clear answer between these two.

How about neither?

For what you are doing, I would recommend the VTB as a compliment to the TM-1.

I also like the 251, but it can sometimes be a little too top-endy on some of the things you are recording... Although, other times it just sounds flat out amazing.

The VTB would be a better compliment to the TM-1, because it has very natural sounding, fairly neutral mids and an enhanced top end (although not as enhanced as the 251).
