. Ive just got some BOSE noise cancelling 3's and they must be great for drummers. They really do cut out the outside sound but I wonder if they send any RF interference which might mess with the recording signal. As this technology exists, companies must be capable of technology that cancels the sound emanating from the headphones too. Now that would be fantastic. Because they wouldnt have to be so closed and painfully boxy, and the click would not get to the mic. Anyone heard of such phones? I A/B'd the bose 3 against the beyer dynamic 770. The sound leaves a bit to be desired, but maybe its coz theyre not broken in. |

I just bought the dt-770 pro's recently and Im impressed with the attenuation and bass response. They attenuate well (i think its 18dB), but theyre not meant for drummers. On the other hand they seem good enough to prevent spills from acoustic recordings, vocals, etc. The M version of the dt-770 is for drummers and that has 35dB's attenuation. I have tried several noise concelling phones and to me something about them sounds funky, lol, like phase/dsp related.
