| Yes. But be aware they're largely ignored (except maybe by avid fans). Mostly nuisance value, I think. ![]()

| if you are talking about leaving comments to all your friends (banners and such) the only way I know how is by using a bot. but beware myspace doen;t like the 'em and is cracking down and might delete your profile w/o warning. you can post a bulletin, which is good for your friends w/ like less than a few hundred friends. but these days most people have that annoying friend that posts 25 bulletin's an hour and yours gets pushed down. fwiw i've been at a bunch of gigs where someone came because they saw a bulletin. . . there's also "event invites" which I've actually never used . . . |

| Lives for gear | Asides from bulletins, if you have a quick message to relay you could just change your status. Something like "New CD available, only $10" or "NXNE Show June 6 - 10:00pm - location". Bulletins do largely get ignored but get creative with a title (not deceptive) and you may peak some interest. Last time I did the event inviter I had to select people separately, which is a complete nuisance. I did it anyway but for the most part no one saw the invite. People showed up anyway thankfully. You might just have to do it the old fashion way and message people individually. Start with the people more likely to attend your show or buy into what you're selling so to speak (and I don't really mean that in a monetary manner, but that could apply as well.) Try to make your news a viral thing on myspace. Set up a team that can help you out and send messages for you. determine what borders spam and pull it back. The last thing you need is to annoy people. Try different things and evaluate what works and what doesn't. I could go on forever. Doesn't hurt I just spent some time recently with the marketing director of myspace Canada. Jane was great to talk to. |

| Lives for gear | For what's it's worth, I have to start listening to my own advice. I've put myspace on the backburner for some time but recently decided I wanted to give it a go again. I haven't changed mine (asides from status) in ages lol. |

| What you're wanting to do is send out spam. And, trust me, if you think that your bulletin posts will be ignored, you should see what happens to the spam I receive. I actually do report is as "spam" with the little "spam" link. I'm telling you right now, you'd have much more luck getting people to your shows if you either post a bulletin or an event, rather than spamming people. If you feel that it must be a message, then send personal messages to people in your area who might be likely to attend. Sending 100 personalized messages to people who might actually come to your show will be much more effective than sending thousands of spam messages to people all over the world. It's a lot of work. But, honestly, there's no "easy" way to market your band that is anywhere near as effective as putting in a little bit of hard work. Getting spam from a band instantly delegitimizes them in my eyes. It's desperation. And, it's annoying. |

| like i said, post bulletin. it's the only reasonable way to do it. if you have a friend who posts a thousand bulletins a day, politely email them through the myspace and ask them to go easy, or delete them as friends. enjoy pram |
