Miking Guitar Cab--Have you ever tried...

...using a beta 58 rather than a 57? Curious what kind of results you may have found.

If you're using a 58 with the wind filter screwed of you're getting almost the same sound as you would with a 57.

The only Shure I've put on a guitar cabinet in at least 5 years has been an old 315 ribbon.

Whenever I need another 57, I unscrew the windscreen off a 58. I assume it the same with the Beta series.

If you want to find out for yourself, no harm in trying.
