Purple Audio Mixer/Summing Device.

Having just read that Purple are starting to make the MC77 again (always wanted to try one of these out...) popped over to their website and saw this:
http://www.purpleaudio.com/Product/super8.html

No idea what it costs, when it's going to be built or when it's going to be ready but might be worth having a look.

Unfortunately, that note about the photo being just a preliminary graphic and that a new image will be posted soon has been up there for at least 6 months. Now that they have added those sketches indicating what the knobs are for, I'm a little less interested: the 4 to 6 available AUX sends take up most of the module and I don't need any Aux sends. I'm just looking for a VERY high quality line mixer with fader and pan pot controls. But for rock guys that use lots of effects, this might be a good choice; based on other Purple products, I'm sure that it will be very nicely put together and sound great.

The last time I check,
it's gonna cost about $6k-8k depending on your choice of output.

Great idea, but I would rather spend my money getting a mixer for that much.

On one hand, I can certainly sympathize with the approach of "Hey, I can't hear any difference, so why should I pay that much?". On the other, I wonder why anyone who can't hear a difference is recording, mixing, or producing records.
