Thread Starter | What do you know about the Neve 8108?
My buddy just picked up a few pres with EQ from an old 8108 that has been refurbished a couple years ago. I can't find much online about them, but is anyone familiar with this generation of Neve? What kind of things do you think they would sound good with? |

I've worked on a 8128 back some years ago. Besides the maintainence issues of the 'matix' and the adc jack panels, it really wasn't something that you said "that sounds great". Thats why you really dont see many 'channel strips' racked. Also the console was not of modular design from what I remember. Those channels aren't of the same lineage as the 80, BCM or 54 Series consoles predating it. In terms of more modern consoles I prefer the later V/VR series sound. My opinion of course. |
